KANGHYUK's "COLLECTION 6" Presents Its Latest Expression of Synthetic Fashion

Continuing its expression of the balance between materials, and the exploration of synthetic fashion, South Korean label KANGHYUK recently unveiled its Fall/Winter 2019 collection.

Dubbed "COLLECTION 6," the latest collection is comprised of an expansive range of garments constructed of industrial polyamide and nylon car airbags. In a display of function meets fashion, jackets and outerwear feature convertible zipper detailing, reinforced stitching, ventilation ports, and padding. Aside from expressing an off white aesthetic dressed with blue/red stitching, this time around, KANGHYUK experimented with olive and black overdye washes informed by military styling. Some standout pieces from the upcycled range include a hooded cropped puffer jacket, dyed pilot jacket and zipper opening trousers.
